Rochedale South State School is a quality learning context set in a beautiful natural setting away from major roads. Positive attitudes towards learning and behaviour are fostered through our quality Australian curriculum and whilst we ensure that children's learning in the key foundational learning areas of reading, writing and numeracy are maximised, we also offer outstanding opportunities in performing arts.
High standards for dress, behaviour and work habits are a feature of the school, and we explicitly teach children how to behave well through our Learning to Live Together Program which emphasises the 5C's of care, courtesy, cooperation, commitment and contribution. Children are taught that 'leadership is about doing the right thing even when no-one is watching'. Every student needs to be a leader of themselves and others in their learning and their behaviour.
Our school has received extra funding as part of the Investing for Success to ensure that every child from Prep to Year 3 is maximising their learning. Any child not reaching the National Minimum Standard for their year level, will have a personalised plan to address their learning needs.
